We started Escape Bicycles as a direct result of being frustrated over not having the right equipment for our tours. Mountain bikes leave you with CTS after a week or two. Road bikes are more comfortable, but can?t carry the loads. Admit it, you wouldn?t use a hacksaw to cut through a two-by-four or a carpenter saw for cutting copper pipe. You could do it, but it isn?t something you should admit. Mountain and road bikes are not built for touring ? plain and simple.
